Human Rights in Health Care Conference May 2011

5 April 2011

The conference is taking place on Wednesday, 11 May, 2011 at the Neurosupport Centre, Norton Street, Liverpool L3 8LR.

Organised by Mersey Care NHS Trust, this event will:

  • Bring participants up to date with the human rights in healthcare programme and plans for the next phase
  • Show how one Trust has been implementing a human rights based approach with people with learning disabilities and the practical difference it can make
  • Launch the Speaking Up For Myself, Standing Up For Human Rights booklet by people with learning disabilities, for people with learning disabilities
  • Provide opportunities to network with others interested in promoting a human rights based approach to healthcare and share examples of good practice.

The event is aimed at those working in health and social care organisations .
